Curriculum Overview

The Westleigh School aims to develop the best in every student through excellent teaching across a broad and balanced curriculum. Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive and caring learning environment that encourages lifelong learning. The curriculum at The Westleigh School meets the statutory requirements of the national curriculum while also offering a wide range of courses to meet the needs of all students. The school is committed to ensuring that every student’s needs are fully met and that barriers to learning are removed, enabling each pupil to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. All students with SEND are provided with full access to the curriculum.

At The Westleigh School, we are committed to promoting equality, celebrating diversity and challenging all forms of discrimination. We strive to remove barriers to access, participation, attainment and achievement. We actively promote community cohesion at school, local, national and global levels, and are committed to implementing all necessary actions in relation to ethnicity, religion or belief, and socio-economic background.
