We bid a fond farewell to our year 11 students at an assembly on Monday 13 June 2016.
It was a sad occasion, but also a celebration of all the hard work and effort that students had put into their education over the 5 years at Westleigh High School. At the assembly, Mr Bramwell addressed students about the value of their education and other important skills that students had gained. Mr Bramwell also thanked parents and carers and staff for all their support and guidance.
As our guest speaker at the assembly, Mrs Bryan also bid students farewell:-
“Today is the culmination of 11 years of formal education. However, school is not just about exams and qualifications it is about so much more. It is about giving you a good start in life working together with parents to help develop the skills you need to succeed in life – hard work, determination, resilience. Also qualities such as being polite, caring, considerate, responsible young people, ready to take your place in the world. We hope that you leave us knowing that you are capable of great things and have the confidence not to let anyone shake that belief.”
