There's a world of languages out there! That's what Mrs Miller's and Mrs Michalakakos's students discovered whey they visited The University of Manchester. The special event was called 'Viva Languages' and showed students where studying a language could lead them in the future. They met students in their final year at university who are studying not only European languages but Japanese, Russian and Mandarin, and took part in exciting workshops. Language teacher Mrs Miller said:
"It was a really enjoyable day for everyone. The students as always stepped up to the challenge and participated fully in the day's activities. We were also lucky enough to have beautiful sunshine to accompany us on our visit to the central campus and students were duly impressed with the facilities. The team of student ambassadors from the University were extremely friendly and supportive of the students throughout the day and we hope to participate in future events with them."
