There’s a world of languages out there. That’s what Mrs Miller’s and Mrs Michalakakos’s students discovered when they visited The University of Manchester.
The special event, called ‘Viva Languages’, showed students where studying a language could lead them in the future. They met final-year university students studying not only European languages, but also Japanese, Russian and Mandarin, and took part in a range of exciting workshops.
Language teacher Mrs Miller said:
“It was a really enjoyable day for everyone. As always, the students rose to the challenge and participated fully in all of the day’s activities. We were also lucky enough to enjoy beautiful sunshine during our visit to the central campus, and the students were very impressed by the facilities. The team of student ambassadors from the University were extremely friendly and supportive throughout the day, and we hope to take part in future events with them.”
