We are incredibly proud to celebrate our students’ exceptional GCSE results today, with record improvement making The Westleigh School the most improved school in Wigan and across the Shaw Education Trust.
74% achieved grades 9–4 in English, above the national average
70 Grade 9s and 7 Distinction Stars achieved across the curriculum
32% achieved Grade 9 in Biology
100% pass rate in Drama
Vivian achieved the incredible feat of a Grade 9 in every subject!
These results are a testament to the determination, resilience and hard work of our students, supported by our dedicated staff and families.
We are also delighted that attendance has risen for the second consecutive year and finished above the national average.
